Gloria Ahuanari Usquiano
Regional Coordinator, Nueva Requena, Ucayali
Gloria began her career in Peru’s San Martin Region, working for a coffee grower in Soritor, Moyobamba, where she coordinated the cultivation work of the technical team. She moved on from there to work for Foncodes, a social development foundation, as a project facilitator. Now she works hand-in-hand with smallholder farmers to restore their degraded land, coordinating all Plant your Future’s activities in the Nueva Requena area, overseeing the tree nursery, the training of the farmers we work with, their planting operations, and the ongoing maintenance of their agroforestry projects. Gloria holds a degree in Agricultural Science from the National University of Ucayali, and a professional Diploma in Farming. In the future, Gloria wants to study for a Masters degree in Sustainable Agriculture. Gloria is a devoted mother to her children and in her free time enjoys playing volleyball with her friends.
