Toby is the CEO and Director of Rhizocore Technologies, a company focused on enhancing tree
planting operations through the use of fungal biodiversity. He previously worked as a researcher at
the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, where he contributed to the Millennium Seed Bank Project,
developing cryopreservation and tissue culture techniques for storing and regenerating plant
embryos. Toby holds a PhD in plant-microbe interactions and has extensive expertise in
understanding how plants communicate and interact with their environment
