Jaime is a distinguished expert in sustainable development, bringing extensive experience to his
work in Peru and beyond. He earned his first degree in Plant Sciences from the University of
California, Davis, and completed his graduate studies in Scotland and Peru, building a strong
academic foundation in global environmental and agricultural disciplines. With training in various
fields, including agronomy and environmental management, Jaime has been a valued long-term
member of the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB) in Lima, where he served as a senior
climate change specialist. His impressive career includes key roles at the World Bank, UNDP, GIZ, and
The Nature Conservancy, showcasing his deep involvement with international organizations focused
on environmental sustainability. Jaime’s extensive knowledge of sustainable development, policy,
and environmental management positions him as a highly respected leader committed to advancing
climate resilience and sustainable agricultural practices.
