DIEGO ALBERTO GRANDEZ GÓNGORA, Forest Manager
Diego brings extensive experience in forestry, with a particular focus on forest census work,
including projects in the Native Community of Santa Rosa (Aguaytía). His expertise also spans forest
resource management, where he played a key role in ensuring compliance with regulations and
overseeing the traceability of resources from origin to final destination.
At Plant Your Future, Diego’s work focuses on assisting farmers with pest control, fertilisation, and
pruning. He also leads farmer field schools, equipping farmers with essential knowledge of
sustainable practices to improve agricultural productivity and forest health. Diego’s background in
forest census and resource management, combined with his practical work with farmers, allows him
to take a comprehensive approach to reforestation and agroforestry efforts in the Amazon. With a
strong attention to detail and a commitment to regulatory compliance, Diego ensures that projects
meet the highest standards of sustainability. His hands-on approach to forest management, coupled
with his expertise in forest resource traceability, supports Plant Your Future’s broader mission of
environmental restoration and community empowerment.
“I enjoy working at Plant Your Future because it’s an NGO committed to environmental restoration,
focusing on recovering degraded forests. Our initiatives not only help regenerate ecosystems but also
aim to improve the quality of life for beneficiaries, fostering sustainable development and creating a
positive social and environmental impact.”
