Ali has 25 years of experience in communications, strategy and account management, spanning the
technology, development, humanitarian and sustainability sector. She joined Proforest as Director of
Communications and Knowledge Management in 2020, leading a global team working on internal
and external communications, helping to represent the NGO’s technical work in responsible sourcing
and production, collaboration and landscapes. Since graduating from Cambridge University in Social
Anthropology she has lived and worked in the US, UK and Africa, and has spent time on conservation
projects in Tanzania, Namibia, Madagascar and Costa Rica.
